Browser Links to Applications

In order to demonstrate the results of our work on the Inuktitut language, we have developed a number of web applications that can be accessed from your browser by sending requests to our server. To send those requests, you will need to install a few links on the link (or personal, or bookmarks - the name changes depending on the browser) toolbar of your browser.

To put a link on the link bar or personal or bookmarks toolbar of your browser:

Links: Inuktitut Suffixes Inuktitut Roots Inuktitut Web Page Transliteration

To place a link in the link bar of your browser:

The instructions given here for each browser are general. Depending on which version of the browser you are using, the procedure might differ slightly.

Mozilla Firefox

step 1. Create a folder named “Inuktitut” on the link bar

(Skip to step 2 if you have already created this directory.)

The link bar is located in the top part of the browser. If it is not visible, look in the main menu of Chrome under 'View' for 'Link bar', and click on it.
  1. Click with the right button of the mouse in the link bar, and then click on 'New folder...' with the left button of the mouse.

  2. Type 'Inuktitut' in the Name field, and click on 'OK'.

step 2. Place the link in the 'Inuktitut' folder in the link bar

You can choose either of those 2 ways:

  1. Drag the link
    1. Click on the link (see above on the right side of Links:) with the left button of the mouse,

      and while keeping the button pressed down, drag the link over the 'Inuktitut' folder in the link bar;

      release the mouse button.

  2. Add a bookmark
    1. Click on the link (see above on the right side of Links:) with the right button of the mouse, and follow the instructions;

      make sure that the 'Inuktitut' folder is well identified as the folder to receive the new bookmark.
